My friend's mom brought boys into the women's locker room?

I recently went to an indoor water park with my friend and her mom brought my friend's brother and his friend through the ladies room for “safety”. They are 9 yrs old!

My friend got the last bathroom stall to change in and I was stuck in the big room with everyone else. I tried to wait and change after my friend but her mom made me hurry up and change right there because she was like "we are only staying for a few hours."

It was so embarrassing, she held up towels so the boys had privacy to change while I had to get my bikini on myself. Later when we were getting ready to leave one of them even started teasing me saying how they got to see my bare butt! I made sure that I got a stall to change on the way out. I thought it was totally unfair and that she was really inconsiderate. Has anything like this ever happened to anyone else? Weren't they way too old to be in the women's room?

First of all: This is definitly not appropriate for the mother to bring 9 year olds into the female's locker room. Not only is it embarrising for you, but also for them. I understand it if they were younger, and couldn't change alone in the men's locker room, but I highly doubt they couldn't change at 9 Y.O. If you ever go back to the water park with that family, tell the mother that you feel uncomfortable changing in front of them, and ask her to let them change in the men's room, or if she is scared of their safety, bring their father, or another trustworthy guy, with you to escort them in there. If she refuses, either don't go, or once there talk to one of the park staff, as it is unlikely they would permit boys going into a ladies room. Also suggest she use the family changing room most parks have (though not all) if she is still unwilling to have them be independent.

Oh, and yess they were too old.

That is so inappropriate, the boys are nine years old...Now, I would have totally freaked out on my friend since she's the one who's family was there and the brother has probably seen his sister, and she took the last stall. Your friend was so inconsiderate to have you out with her family and not put you before her.....which is how I treat my friends and they treat me. Don't go with your friend unless you bring your parents or go with her and just wait for an open stall and tell your friend and her family to go ahead of you. A few hours is alot of time, tell your friend's mom to shut her pie-hole and stop being over protective. But that's just me....

9 is way too old for boys to be in the womens change room. your friends mum shouldve definitely NOT brought them in

Hmmm, she should watch them outside. More for their safety, they are too young (and in the same time too old) to be exposed to nudity.
It's also not right for other girls and women in locker roo.

If you can go to the bathroom in your house without it qualifying as a memorable event, you can use a changing room by yourself at a water park. That lady needs to back off a little bit and respect other people's privacy a little more

Most places have a cut-off point of 6 years of age for the opposite gender to go into the opposite changing room. Oldest cut-off I've seen was 8 years old at a local swimming pool.

At 9, I was interested in girls. Therefor its WAY too old. By that age, I remember some of my friends already having girlfriends (well, sort of. holding hands would have been a major step back then)

Wow that's a bummer. When I went the pool with my 17 yr old cousin he let me opt out of changin so i just came with my suit already on while he and my younger brother cahnged /showered. I was almost 9.

Oh grow up. What else was she meant to do? She was the only adult there; leave the kids alone in the male changing room? Don't be so daft; they're only 9. You being naked isn't going to kill them, and as she said, she put up a towel so they didn't see anything and no one saw them.
