Smile Shaving...

Hi Guys!

I'm 13 -- 14 in a few weeks. I have a ton of body hair (covering my stomach, chest, legs, arms, armpits, etc.) My dad has been shaving my face for a couple of months, because he has been afraid I might cut myself while shaving. I'm a bit nervous too; so I'm fine with that.

I had surgery when I was about 8. There are surgery lines (or whatever you call 'em) all over my stomach. If I shave my stomach/chest will the lines like open or you know get cut, or be harmed in any way at all?

Basically, is it dangerous for me to shave my stomach because of the surgery?

Also, how do I start shaving if I'm scared of being cut/injured?

Thanks,
Stylindude

I would ask your doctor about that or atleast some one with medical knowledge, it is not worth taking the chance.

Why do you feel the need to shave normal body hair?

Umm.. I think it's time he taught you how to shave on your own dude. 14 years old seems a little too much to have your dad do it for you. It isn't that difficult and something that once you are shown how. It's just easy.

How do you start? You get shown how to once.... Then you just do it..... You may get a cut but that happens to everyone now and then.

your fine. Dude, shaving isn't that hard...I'd try it and see how it goes. Just have your dad watch you and kinda direct you the first time you do it. My dad kinda showed me and told me to do and not to do and that was it, then its all you. As far as your body hair is concerned, your fine to shave it, the worst that could happen is you nick the skin and you bleed the tiniest bit, its really not that big of a deal.

to be honest it's a bit hard to cut yourself if your using a new razor, i was too scared to cut myself when i first started and to this day I only have once and even if you do it's no big deal everyone does it every now and then.

as for your surgical scars, it should be fine as long as the scars don't stick out or puff out

If its just flat scars then its really just like regular skin and you should be fine especially since it was so long ago

Shaving should be fine once you learn how to.

They're losers. Seriously. Who the hell makes fun of someone for being totally normal and actually growing into a man? That's what happens during puberty. Tell them to read a freakin book for once. Guys get hair during puberty.

Some do and some don't. It all depends on the boy and if he is devleoping early or not.

Ehh I would say it's a bit lower percentage of boys that age with chest hair but definitely something that is fine and just signifies an early bloomer.

Alright. When I say chest hair; I mean like all over my stomach and stuff. No one has that, so I kinda get teased and stuff. Actually it's 'cause I'm really short and skinny, but have a lot of body hair... So yeah..
