Jenna, I'm not really knowledgeable about the renal scans out there. If you have questions about what's going on with your renal system, I can help. Anyway, these are the sites that I trust to give accurate information.

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/MEDLINEPLUS/e...cle/003790.htm

http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/kidney-scan

If you need help figuring out what all that means, let me know.

Thanks, those links helped alot

I do have more questions for you, how does having many UTI's over 10 years result in kidney scarring?

When you have a urinary tract infection, no matter what the cause is, your renal system will become inflamed to fight off the infection. Persistent inflammation in any organ system can lead to long term scarring. I have severe scarring on my ear drum due to having severe ear infection my whole life. It has slightly damaged my hearing and I have trouble equalizing the pressure in my head when I SCUBA dive.

Have the doctors said why they think you have had recurrent URIs? Sometimes the scarring is due to the cause of the infection and not from the infection directly. Chances are, however, that the scarring if from persistent inflammation.
