If 2 people post answers that are equally specific, the first one wins.

Also, Credit for specific details will only be awarded if this information can be deduced from the little part of the image I show.

Get busy to it

No, it's not. Pontiac no longer sells the GTO nor is it sold in it's original Australia. That deserves some credit right there. So technically, like the Renault Clio, Pagani Zonda, BMW 125i cabrio*, BMW 635d*, Mazda 2 and Opel Insignia, it shouldn't even be in this competition considering the car must be sold in both the US and the UK.

*BMW does sell both the 1-Series and 6-Series in the US but in the US we have the following: 128i coupe/cabrio, 135i coupe/cabrio, 650i coupe/cabrio, M6 coupe/cabrio. So neither should be included.

Firstly, I can only apologise for this weeks quiz. blue's anatomy is right when he says the GTO and Monaro are no longer sold. That was me being careless and looking at an out-dated website to get my information.

But in my defence, I do try to include accurate info in these quizes. One of your complaints in particular struck me as misleading, so I checked, and in Mk.18, I clearly stated the insignia

At the begining of the quiz i usually state whether the car is available within the USA or not. It doesn't always have to be sold in the USA and UK.

I can only apologise if this isn't the case with all of the above examples, I haven't checked them all, but I like to think I don't get it that wrong.

Also, when I'm orginising these quizes I amn't going to find pictures of the 125i cabrio and BMW 635d. I'll find pictures of the 1-series cabrio, and the 6-series coupe. I do, however, make sure that if I say the car is available in the USA, that there is the exact same looking car available in the USA. Please don't tell me you can tell the difference between the headlight of a 125i cabrio and the headlight off a 128i cabrio, because you can't.

Also, Pagani do not operate like a fucking Ford garage. You don't just walk into your local Pagani store and purchase upto £480,000 of pristine top-class automobile then drive it home. Pagani operate a 'General Dealer' in Italy which will dispach one of their cars to any area should you desire, they aren't going to pass-up that sort of money because you don't live next-door to them. So Pagani Zonda's are available in the USA.

Sorry if any of this seems harsh, but I've put my own time into doing this quiz 36 times, and it isn't a case of just slapping on a picture either. I use photoshop, and I make sure my cuts are clean and don't look messy, I try to gauge a difficulty that isn't too hard nor easy, I source a high-quality image, make sure the image isn't overly big for most screens, check for identification badges, I even made that stupid bart chalkboard thing, I try to enforce some rules, and I try to get a quiz out every week, regardless of the fact I have had 6 weeks of life-changing examinations just passed, I've taken 4 ridiculously hard subjects this year, I maintain a job which consumes most of my free time, and I'm also trying to get through a piano exam at the moment.
When you come here and basically slag my quizzes for their inaccuracies without looking into it fully, it actually pisses me off a little, so please don't. Obviously, I don't always get it right, but I bloody-well try because I think most people here like it, and it's good for the forum.
In conclusion, if you feel my quizes are wholly innacurate to the stage where no one from the USA could even hazard a guess as to what these cars are, then don't participate.

/endrant

EDIT: I'll post a new quiz on sunday. far_side (mark), you won this round:

I don't know whether it's pointing out miniscule inaccuracies that floats your boat, or just correcting people, or that you're upset you didn't earn the bragging rights for this week's little contest... come on now.
