Locker Room showers

After wrestling practice our coach told us to go take a shower and all the seniors and juniors seemed really comfortable with stripping down naked in front of each other and taking a shower with each other but i felt kind of uncomfortable and avoided it. Is it normal for boys to take showers with each other?

Yes, there's nothing wrong with it. As you get used to it you'll get more comfortable; there's nothing wrong with nudity in a locker room/shower.

The older students are generally more comfortable of the idea because their used to it. It's usually embarassing for the first time, but it gets easier later on. It's perfectly normal to take a shower in a locker room.

Seeing as how it was something you weren't expecting, then it's only natural to be a bit skeptic and hesitant to want to do it. It just takes some getting used too and something that is perfectly normal for guys to do.

Yeah, it's pretty normal. most guys that are upperclassman are just more used to the idea and don't really mind getting naked infront of each other. If you just give it time and stuff you'll be confortable in due time aswell. I know I was

It's normal in sports, but not necessarily common otherwise. So if you haven't played sports at a level this competitive before, it's completely understandable that you wouldn't feel comfortable showering around other guys. Ultimately, you should do what you're most comfortable with. But do keep in mind that these other guys are all guys, too, and so if you just act confidently and don't draw attention to anything (of yours or of theirs), you should be fine.

It takes ome getting used to at first, but after the first few weeks you hardly even think about it as you're doing it. I went through the same this with my soccer team this summer. The other guys who seem like it dosen't bother them have probably done it before. I bet they were nervous at first too.

yes... its very normal. i have to take a shower every day for gym class. you will get use to it as time goes on. and dont worry about getting a boner, everyone has them. if you get one, just calmly leave the shower room and go get your towel and cover up.

It's pretty normal for guys who are teammates to be entirely comfortable with that, especially in sports like wrestling and football where showering is practically mandatory. It might seem like there's a lot to be afraid of especially since you've never really been around naked guys while you are naked too. But in reality, there's not much of a problem with it at all. Everyone has the same plumbing so why be so modest and reserved. Just go in there, shower and leave.

It's pretty normal.... me and the rest of my swim team have been doing it after every practice for years. You just get used to it after a while I think, especially if you;ve been doing it since before puberty startec (not that that helps u lol)
