Default Option A - Option B

I've got to make a big decision this week. I want to be a teacher and currently working at a secondary school as a TA.

Option A
Study at a distance learning university (open university)
Keep my job that I enjoy
Have no student debt
Have £20k saved for a house deposit in 3/4 years

Option B
Go to a brick university
Quit my job
20K student debt
Have the experience of university

Decisions decisions!

Option A in my opinion mate.

I'm at uni, don't like it all that much. Would rather be in position A right now.

God hates figs:
Quote:
Mark 11:12-14 (King James Version)
12And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
13And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
14And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Option B. There's so much in the experience of uni that just drives you a bit insane, and makes you love it simultaneously. Essay due at 4pm on Monday. Essay has a sentence written at 11pm on Sunday? That's what university is all about. Got an exam at 9am on Thursday? Go out get wrecked the night before? That's what university is all about. Go on, life the good life of the sullen student.

I'd go with B too. You can always move back.

EDIT: I thought of something else. In a careers fair I attended, I was told that employers will often chose somebody with a university-attended degree over somebody with a qualification such as a degree from the OU. They believe it shows you have more "life experience" than someone who hasn't been might. Crock of shit, perhaps, but if it can give you that extra push towards the job you want, it should be worth it.

I have done some distance education courses and such, so I know how it works. That said, I would do opinion B for a couple of reasons:

-Social interaction
-It is easier to see something in person/ask a prof something in person than over e-mail and the internet
-It gets you out and about and you are not on the computer all day
