*Face palm* No idea what to do..

Well my friends, get ready for a story of woe and no dareing do..

The other night I was out at our Universities disco/nightclub like thing. Things were going as normal and as expected. We had just got there after some predrinks at my friends house and after a few more drinks we decided to go and dance for abit.

This is where it gets abnormal; a hot girl hit on me!
after some deliberation she got closer to me (pretty darn close at this point!) and said "are you interested then?".
Ahh the next bit, my friends, is painful to remember..
This question of hers left me completely dumbfounded. I didn't know how to answer!
I slightly remember saying something like "I'm not, not interested".
Problem was I kinda stood there looking round for my friends, slightly ignoring this girl who was on me; because I had absolutely no idea what I should do!
I'm completely inexperienced to this kind of thing, I'm also slightly scared of affection and this put me right out of my depth.
After awhile this girl started asking questions like - "are you getting over someone or something?" and then said "It's okay if you aren't interested.."
more painful minutes passed until eventually a friend came and took her hand and led her away.

I guess my problems here were mainly of inexperience.
For example, I dont really know what she ment by "Are you interested then?" and didnt really understand what she was getting at.
I was also surprised that this girl was hot AND talking to ME!
I've had problems in my life with confidence and this girl fell into the category of what I think is 'she's out of my league'. My friends tell me I'm far from ugly but I have problems believeing them.

So I guess what I'm asking is:
1. What do you think she ment by "Are you interested then?"
2. What do you think I should have done?

There may have been something else I was trying to get at but my housemate just came back and put some annoying music on and my mind's been wiped.

1) She was asking if you wanted to get laid
2) She was probably trashed since her friend had to come drag here away -- unless she seemed somewhat sober, I would have said no thanks.

In the future, if she's saying "are you interested?" she's basically saying "want to do me? right now?"

Now that you understand the question, you can answer however you want.

You lads suck... 'Are you interested then?' does not necessarily have to do with getting laid. It could just as well mean 'Are you interested in dancing with me then?'.

Had it happened to me, what I would have done was to clear things up by asking her, 'Am I interested in what?'. This way you can prevent misunderstandings of if she's just wanting to dance with you or get into you pants.

Seems pretty unlikely if she was hanging over him like that, but I see your point. Asking "interested in what?" probably would be the best route, heh.
