So I've always read these forums for advice on stuff and I've always been able to find answers so I didn't register to ask things because there was no need to. Well, now finally there's a question that I have that I've never seen here so I guess it's time for me to speak up.

Okay, so I'm 16 years old and though I didn't start seeing physical growth until I was 14 I'm pretty well developed now being 6'2", hairy, muscular, and still growing fast. When I was a kid, I was completely comfortable with being in just my underwear because, well, I didn't think twice about it. Once I hit 10 I slept with shorts on and it was kind of expected for me to be dressed always because I was growing up.

Here's the question. Now that I'm maturing and all I'm starting to go back to not even thinking twice mentality again. Obviously, I have girls in my family so i'd watch for that but would it be appropriate for me to be comfortable like that around my dad? I know he's okay with it because he's in his briefs in the morning and night before bed. I just want to know if any of you are open with your dad and how it is. Also, how'd you make it a normal thing for you two?

well i've been in my underwear since 13 when i sleep or sometimes walk around the house. my dad see me only in my briefs in the house or in my room when he wakes me up and its ok. he never said anything wroing against it. i have an older sister who ask me to wear somethin if im outdside my room but for my dad its ok. now im 15 its still the same tho.

I don't really do that, but there is nothing wrong with that if you are comfortable with it.

As long as you are both comfortable with it, I don't see a problem.

If you are both comfortable with it, then it's absolutely fine walking around the house in your underwear. I still walk around in my boxers and I'm 17 no one In my family seems to mind, so I don't either.

Sometimes When my sister has her friends over for a sleepover or my mum has friends over, I will get asked to put some sweat pants on or something but otherwise it's usually ok as long as I'm wearing something on my bottom half.

I sleep in my boxers, and my dad wakes me up sometime - he doesn't care. He just sleeps in underwear unless he's cold.

If we have any guests over, i just put on some bb shorts and a wife beater - not that uncomfortable, but keeps you covered

its up to u if u feel comfortable walking around in briefs then do it inless the girls ro guys in ur family dont like it then theres nothing wrong with wrong with it

I also wore briefs and later boxer briefs at the breakfast table until about half a year ago. Wasn't a big deal for me. But now I would be really embarassed if my mom saw me like this. Don't know what has changed. Guess nothing but me. But if you're ok with it then just keep on wearing whatever you like to wear.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with being in only boxers when you're at home, even if the female members of your family are at home. There's no difference between shorts and boxers when it comes down to it, but obviously every family is different and not everyone would see it that way. I think boxer-briefs and briefs would be a little different since they show off more of a bulge than boxers. But I think if your dad is comfortable enough to be in briefs in front of you, then it would be entirely acceptable for you to be in front of your dad in your underwear too. To start making it a normal occurrance, I would say just the next time you're around the house with your dad alone, take a shower, dry off and put some boxers on and then before getting any other clothes on, go get something to drink. Or maybe when you wake up in the morning, (I don't know what you sleep in, but if you don't sleep in boxers, put some on) go to the kitchen and get something to drink. Little things like that will help ease the nonchalantness about underwear back into your life.

At 12 I started sleeping without underwear, let em' free for a while, but I always have "happy pants" on. I have continued this since, however I have 3 brothers and a girl hasn't been born into my family for four hundred years so I wouldn't know about being around females. There are so many men in my family that I think of my mom as a guy if that makes since. Also, we don't wear shirts in the morning and most of us wear underwear or "happy pants". As long as your dad and you are both comfortable I don't see any reason to change unless you want to. I think the majority of modern families are a mixture of nudity and modesty if that makes since.

My dad and I dont have a problem with it. I walk around in my underwear lots before I go to bed or when I wake up and so does he and my brother. No big deal. Its just underwear.
