I'm bored and how do i hangout with my friends?

I'm Bored out of my mind. I have a ps3, computer, music, and t.v that's it. during the week i mainly just play games on my ps3 or go to the computer. I do all those things everyday to entertain me NO LIE.

My parents never let me go anywhere by myself with my friends. They always say no. I never went anywhere with my friends, yes it's sad because i'm a 13 year old. I don't even have a cell phone. they are too over protected b/c she always watch the news in our town how like theres bad people and stuff. Even if my parents say i can go they'll probably come along with my friends which is embarrasing or even my older sisters. Also she says i cannot go anywhere because i look like a 9 year old (4 feet 9 inches)
This is kinda why i have like no close friends or regular friends because i cannot hang out with them outside of school and is why i'm shy around people.

How do i convince my parents so i can go to the mall or somewhere esle with just my friends?

Write them a letter or tell them that you would like to talk to them face to face and have a discussion on how you feel. Let them know in a mature way that you are growing up and it's important to you that they give you some independence so that you can grow up. You need to be able to do things for yourself regardless of how old you look. That shouldn't make one difference what so ever. When I was your age there was a kid that was one of the most popular in the school and he was also one of the shortest in the grade. Tell them that you would like to see them grant you more privledges and responsibility and you would like a chance to do things with your friends on your own. Explain that you are growing up into a normal teenager and want to do things without parental supervision some times. If they reply with a no to all of this. Ask them in a calm manner their reasoning. Parents want to see maturity.... If they see you respond to their actions in a immature way then you are not going to win them over. It may take a few no's at first to convince them, but if you respond with a few no's with some mature understanding and a willingness to do what it takes to gain their trust. IT will go a long way. Much of what I had to say goes along the lines of what Austin says.

The most importent thing is to show you're trustworthy, start by talking to them and seeing if they will allow you out if you tell them where you are going. After this you can continue to be truthful and show you can be trusted, hopefully they will decide you can have a bit more choice

I think you should have a conversation with your parents, along the lines of what Austin said. Explain you may look young, but aren't the age you look. Ask for your friends to make the plans like a day in advance that way you can say to your mom on a Thursday night that you want to go to the movies on Friday night. She would be more apt to saying 'yes' if she sees you have firm plans. Be sure to have hte movie time or time you'll be arriving back. additionally, most parents don't like their kids hanging out at the mall because of the risks. My friend is 16, 17 in January and his mom doesn't like him hanging around the local mall because there have been a lot of problems. So it may not be a problem with you but with the negative connotation that goes with the mall.

Start talking to them and telling them how you feel, ask them how you can prove to them that you can be trusted to be careful when they are not around.

ok i'll try these ideas but the thing is my mom doesn't like picking up my sister and i from somewhere like the mall.

Just tell them your mature enough to do these things and show that your trustworthy.

I mean I know id hate it if i wasn't allowed to things with friends.

Ask her what she expected when she decided to become a parent?

It's very clear that your parents have your best interests at heart, and their actions are based entirely on good intentions. I agree that you should have a mature conversation and try to come up with some compromises with them.

Maybe you don't need to hang out at the mall. How about having a few friends over? How about if you were to be dropped off at your friend's house instead of the mall? Personally, I find the mall to be painfully boring. It's more fun to just sit around and joke and goof off or play video games with your friends.

What about the movie theater? Will she drop you off there to see a movie with friends?

Also, about the talking-to-them thing. You can always use the line, "I know I look younger than I am, but my judgement is that of my age, if not someone older."

I like that line...use that one.
