my track record sucks.....help

I'm gonna start by repeating the title, my track record with girls sucks. I'm 17 and only had one girlfriend, and even that only lasted a month. I've lost track of how many times I've rejected by girls. And i think its scarred me for life. I've lost the will to try. I've been shot down so many times, I feel like I should stop trying and save me the heartache.

So far this school year, I've liked 4 different girls. I know...i can't make up my mind. But now I know who I really like. I've talked to her a few times here and there, and I'm fairly certain I have a shot with her, so how do I ask her out? I don't wanna do it in front of my friends, cause then I feel like I have an audience. We both work at the same place, but in different departments, so thats kinda hard. I'm just so lost, I can't get myself to do this.

thats the first step i would suggest find out if she does like you AND THEN ask her out.

I was going to say the same thing. To the OP, you said yourself that you only know her by speaking to her 'here and there'. In all honesty, you need to have some form of proper communication going before you can start dating. The odd conversation doesn't really cut it. Also note, just because you are 17 and only had a single relationship doesn't mean you are 'out of the game' or a 'loser', a heap of people don't date until that age, or even into their 20's. Instead of actively seeking a girlfriend, why not wait for someone to catch your eye and then go after them. That has worked from my experience and a lot of people that I know.

maybe I worded some things wrong. We do talk almost everyday, but its just like casual stuff. Like, whats up or hows work? that kind of thing. and i wouldn't say i'm jumping into relationships....idk.
