Need some sources

Hey guys, I'm writing a paper on discourse communities, and the community I have chosen is gays in government. I know that there is a relatively large population of gay people in this forum, and I was wondering if any of you could help me find articles and books that have information and history on gays in government?

I've spent 3 hours on Google and Wikipedia looking for articles and books. Seems as though though this topic isn't one that is discussed very often.
