A lot of people say that male ejaculate has a very "salty" flavour to it... is there a reason as to why this is? Does semen actually contain some amount of sodium, or is it something else that has that effect?

It is a little i guess.. more of a sweet taste i guess. I don't know if it has any kinda sodium in it but they have always said its high in protein but thats all i know

I uusually eat my cum after i j/o, its just easier that way. It does seem a bit salty to me sometimes, usually more than anything else it is just a bit gooey but kinda tastleless.

Have you ever heard people saying that the taste of a female's vagina is changed upon what she eats and drinks? To begin with, this is true. The same also applies to semen. Some foods make semen and vaginal fluid acidic, whilst others make them taste salty, sweet, or bitter. Diet influences a lot of things in the body, and the taste of semen is one of those things.

Semen has a bad taste regardless of how healthy you eat and drink, but avoiding meats, oily foods, chocolate, soda, and alcohol is a good starter.
