Smell of weed

Why is it that the smell of weed never sticks to anything im wearing?

When i smoke a cigarette everyone can smell it all day long, but when i smoke weed no one can ever smell it, even though most people find weed to be a stronger more pungent smell. Why is this?

I stink when I smoke joints, not when I smoke pipe or bong or anything else though

I find that it doesnt stick to much to. like Troy say tho, Joints then to stick a lot more....I guess because the make more smoke....

And the paper burning and just the fact that all the smoke pretty much touches your hand as it goes through the joint

I remember reading something about the specific structure of the aromatic molecules formed after burning tobacco being sticky, and thus the reason why tobacco smell lingers.

Why cannabis does not... I don't know... it must lack sticky aromatic molecules.

I can usually smell a lot of the "pot heads" at my school... so they are either just smoking all of the time or maybe you are just lucky and have a natural "weed-repellent" built in.

Despite the slight bump... odds are the potheads at your school, if they're smelling at school, are probably smoking joints. The delivery method certainly has a lot to do with how a person smells - most people wouldn't smell nearly as much of tobacco if they took one hitters from a bong, but cigarettes are a significantly more pungent delivery method, for both tobacco and marijuana.
