Piercing and sex...

Okay, so... my partner has a piercing on his penis. He got it earlier this year. It's the kind that goes horizontally, through the glans, and that's all you need to know.

Every time we have sex, I always make him take it out because I don't know anything about piercings or what could happen if he doesn't. I have two concerns.

1. Is it safe for him to leave it on period? Could it potentially come loose or fall out while we're having intercourse? Cause, you know, I really don't want either of us to get injured down there...

2. Could the piercing possibly cause the condom to get torn?

Any advice is appreciated. Anyone who is "experienced" with this kind of thing, please feel free to share.

I've no experience with this kind of thing, but what I know of common sense, and laws, it would be unlikely cock piercings were allowed to be made in a way that could damage either sex organ, or a condom, unless it was meant to come off each time.
I would've thought he would be told when he got it whether it was safe for intercourse or not, but until you know for definite (i.e. from the manufacturer) that it will/won't work, I wouldn't risk it. And I doubt many people at all would either.

I wouldn't let my bf to have it in there when we have sex. Don't want tearing my insides or causing an infection. My bf has talked about getting it done but I told him no.

It sounds like it's a good idea to take it out, given the risk of it interfering with a condom and the risk of pain or quite possibly an infection.

If it's through his glans, I'd think it's pretty secure...

That is a concern, if it has sharp or perforating edges. Here's a decent test: Take it out, and see if you can use it to tear the condom in any way feasible during sex.

The name of the piercing would help me check into this, by the way.

I am guessing he has an ampallang by the brief description.

My first question would be about the jewelery he has. Unless the jewelery is sharp, not the customary ball-endings, I don't think there should be a problem. Quite the opposite, many penile piercings are meant to increase the stimulation for the woman during sex. As long as the ends are tight on the barbell there shouldn't be a problem with them falling off either.

The likelihood of the piercing breaking the condom is pretty low but I wouldn't say it is impossible. If you're worried do as someone else suggested and rub the ends of the piece(take it out first obviously ) on the condom and see how it ends up. I doubt you'll have a problem.

I did some googling:

Penis piercings with average-sized jewelry rarely interfere with the
safe use of condoms. Condoms with larger receptical ends will fit
comfortably over penis jewelry. Lubricating the inside of the condom
as well as the jewelry itself will reduce friction. Diaphrams and
cervical caps can be dislodged by curved barbells or circular barbells
worn in the Prince Albert piercing.

Penis jewelry rarely impedes comfortable male-female intercourse.
Comfort and stimulation are greatly influenced by the position of
intercourse and the relative dimensions of the penis and
vagina. Discomfort to either partner can often be alleviated by
changing the dimensions or style of the jewelry. Some women find
piercings with barbells, such as frenum, Apadravya and Ampallang
piercings, uncomfortable. Shortening the barbell or wearing smaller
barbell balls may reduce discomfort. A frenum barbell may be
