Default Mobile phone choice.

Well, for my 16th bithday next month Ill be getting a phone on a contract.

I really dont know what to get though. Im really stuck between:

Samung i8910 OnniaHD
Toshiba TG01
HTC Hero

There all different OS's, Symbian, WinMo and android.

Im really stuck and am open to suggestions and if anyones got one what there like to use (from a teenagers point of view).

Camera really isn't that important to me so that wont swing it, I am leaning towards the TG01 because of my love of WinMo, although Im sure many would disagree with me on that! I just love the wealth of applications for it, what Im concerned about though is the reason I love WinMo is due to the folks at Xda-Developers and they only support HTC devices so that would be a major blow.

Anyway any ideas? I am open to suggestions and I dont mind a keyboard (but it cant be too fat) it does however have to have an OS of one of the suggest 3 as I love exploring apps and the S-class interface by LG wouldn't cut it for me, for preferably no LG phones!

Thanks guys,

Ben.

I would go with a phone that has Android on it. It's starting to really grow and should be a great phone OS in time.

Im undecided on Android. I think its yet to reach its full potential and it needs to mature a bit as an OS.

I'm a sucker for Windows Mobile, so the Toshiba. If not, go the HTC. Personally out of all three, I prefer Windows Mobile (actually, I've never tried Android so I don't know), I don't like Symbian much.

I'm going for WinMo now anyway. I couldn't see my self using anything else. What I love about it is just when your bored its very easy to just mess about with the system and all and flashing different ROM's (for HTC's).

Think Im going to have to get some 1st hand use of some phones before I make my choice, I dont want to be tied in for 18/24 months and not like the phone!

Anyway thanks all!

Ben.

That's what I heard as well. My new phone, an HTC Imagio should be here today. The review is on CNet if you want to see more about it.

I'd go for the Omnia if I had the choice - I did, it was just too expensive for me on my plan with Verizon.
