Default why can't i be a good little homework robot?

So I go to a highschool that gives 5-7hours of homewrok and a few extra hours of studying a night (I'm a sophomore, supposedly the easiest year) and I cannot stop procrastinating after the first two hours. I AM NOT A ROBOT RAWR!!!1 Really, though, I hate procrastination...

Just do it, as Nike would say.

Get passed the hardest part; after the 2 hours are finished and you feel you can't go any further, go further.

Are you in a special program, such as IB or taking AP classes? 5-7 hours of homework a day is hard to believe if you're not in IB, which is focused on lots and lots of homework.

5-7 hours + Optional Study is ridiculous for a low year level.

I was averaging A+'s through all 10+ subjects in my lower years of high school with <2 hours homework a night.

If you want to achieve in school and strive to do so, you can do well. As long as you are able to produce the best work in your last couple years of school you should be okay. Although I must say, keep up in Mathematics if you feel as if you are going to drop your game, as Maths continues all the way though high school.

That's between a 13 and 15 hour day. That's thus not true. Perhaps you should take a course in time-management?

umm, actually it is true <_< and I have yearly time managment classes, as they are mandatory

This is what happens when you go to a renowned catholic high schoo that is totaly bent on competition ($$$chaching$$$) They are slave drivers.

I seriously feel like I can't make it. It all just caves in so quickly. I'm not a genius, and I don't enjoy homework the slightest bit. I want to be a fucking doctor but I can't even handle sophomore math...thi is killing me slowly. I haven't slept more than five hours this week, and that is more than most of my friends get (I'm in middle level classes for the most part, some AP) plus the enourmous pressure to have co-curriculars by the school, even though my only co-curricular sometimes keeps me after scool until 12pm!!!! Jesus Christ, is this normal?!?!?!?!?

Not normal. I went to a renowned Catholic strives-for-excellence school too (complete with $$$chaching$$$), and I rarely hit two hours of work. About twice a year there would be a huge wave of assignments that would keep me up until 3 am every night for three or four days, but that was it.

Occasionally the late night extra-curriculars are fun though. I slept at my school twice for destination imagination.

Oh yeah, they're a blast. I design lighting for the theatre, and the entire week before opening night is basically just camping out in the light booth, going to class, then coming back for work. Somehow, that is the funnest time of the year.

Well there you go then. Extra curriculars can be time consuming, but the good usually outweighs the bad. And if the good doesn't outweigh the bad, you shouldn't be doing that extra curricular. That's how I see it.

You know how much homework I did in the IB program? None.

Well, at least very little.

The trick is to realize what you dont have to do, out of the assigned homework.

How much homework there is depends on the school. Some schools that offer the IB program assign insane amounts of homework. That's what I've read and heard.

Yeah, this is me too.

But it only works if your teachers don't actually care about the work being done, like mine in high school.

But really:

And what are you doing that is so damn difficult? I knew I would get at least one of these jerks in here....

I have found thast having a job can be stressful and a pain, but most jobs are not as mentally demanding as a good solid 7 hours of extremely difficult homework. That is my experience.
