Default What's your UK Political Party

Just noticed there was one for America, we should have one too.

Can you ask me this in about 8 months time?

I used to be Lib Dem, then swung to the Tories, but now that they're compromising on a lot of policies i'm feeling more inclined to ditch them.

I'm not quite ready for UKIP, but depending what happens in Europe i might go with them.

I'd be English Independence if they weren't so bloody racist, it was a huge dissapointing to see how extreme their policies are, some of the stuff is so outdated the last person to use them (women only allowed to stay at home and only men work etc) was Hitler. >.<

Right now some of the most important things for me party-wise: referendum on E.U., do NOT cut the Navy while Argentinia still wants the Falklands, equalise the union - stop giving Scotland the priviledged position in the U.K. and get the SNP to sit down and shut up.

One manifesto includes a clause which directly affects me; and whilst they desperately try to back out of it, the Lib Dems are the only party set to ban the uni fees we're paying right now. It will be of no benefit for me; but will be for future people + my kids.

I cannot be Tory: They're living up to their derivative.
I cannot be Labour: Nothing about their party interests me in the slightest. Be it person or policy.
I would like to be Greens: They're a possibility for me.
UKIP: Synonymous with racism.
English Democrat: Synonymous with racism.
BNP: Racist.

Do you mean replacing Student Fees with Student Grants?
I'm not too up to date with their policies because Nick Clegg is an idiot

I like the Greens. I don't know many of their other non-environmental policies though, I need to clue up some more. For that reason I'm sticking with the Liberal Democrats for now.

Perhaps this thread ought to be stuck as we run up to next year's general election?

I like UKIP.

In MY view, there doing the right thing in wanting us out of Europe, especially with the passing of The Lisbon Treaty.

Labout just bore me when they try and copy the Tory policies, which are just crap.

Lib Dem have a leader you never heard about until there conference.

BNP are just Racist. Green party are OK, but 90% of their policies are about the Environment. If you're in charge of a country, your policies need to be about everything, not just the Environment.

The union won't survive a Tory government in Westminster that's on a collision course with the EU, and a nationalist government in Scotland that has always campaigned to become an independent nation within the European Union.

Last thing Clegg said was: “But I can make this pledge – at the next election we will have the best, most progressive package for students of any mainstream party.”

Shame that that really equates to nothing better than anything else on offer; but mass disenfranchisement means I feel obligated to choose something. Lesser of many evils, I suppose.

Thanks, I thought it was funny. And true.

If Scotland has managed to get rid of tuition fees i'm sure England can do the same, or at least bring them down.

Or at the very least, tell Scotland to fuck off giving Scottish-born citizens free everything when we have to pay just because we live in a different part of the same country.

Hmm, mainstream party. UKIP was popular with the Birmingham City Uni freshers thing (whatever it's called ). Oh, and they are not racist, that's what the BNP is for.

I don't want more Labour and I don't want to see the Conservatives in power because they're talking a lot of shit at the moment. It's going to have to be Liberal Democrat for me.

Unless something changes in the next few months I'm going to be voting Lib Dem. I don't want to take part in allowing Labour to stay in power or the Conservatives to gain it.

God hates figs:
Quote:
Mark 11:12-14 (King James Version)
12And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
13And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
14And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Well I'm Scottish so the conservative party (and that snide snob "dave") can go to hell, I believe in the UK so the SNP can also go to hell. although my family have always been supporters of the Labour Party I believe that they've blown it and the Liberal Democrats have the only Treasury spokesman who has half a clue so i'm voting Lib Dem.
