Cry Early this morning...

My great grandmother died this morning.

She went out for a walk into the woods by the orchard, and she went missing. She didn't come back for 3 hours and my great uncle couldn't find her anywhere so he called the cops. After a several hour long search, the police dog found her dead in the forest somewhere.

No one has any idea what happened. Even at at such an old age she was in very good health, still able to move around without the aid of a walker and everything.

She was 97 years old.

My grandmother called a little while ago to deliver the news. We're all very sad about it, but my father is the only one shedding tears. The best I could do was offer him a consoling hug... didn't want to try saying anything comforting only to make things worse.

I'm going to miss her. I always had a hard time talking with her because she was nearly deaf, but still, I'm gonna miss her.

Jared I am terribly sorry. I know that you really didn't need some tragedy like this to happen since you are going through some things. Come talk to us in The Weekend if you need to vent further.

It is most unfortunately your Grandmum died, and I hope you and your family shall be all right.

I am guessing that your Grandmum probably liked nature and clearly valued her freedom quite a bit. While her death is very sad at least she seemed to die being independent and having the ability to enjoy the outdoors.

I hope that your Grandmum's funeral arrangements go by well and that your family will be brought closer together.

I'm sorry this happened to you. It's so hard to lose someone your close to, sometimes unbearable. though everybody says this, time does heal the pain. Over time, you will accept her death, and be happy that she's probably happier were she is (whatever your religion tells her she will go.)
