well me and my dad were talking about this story in the irish voice (its like the bbc america except its a paper not tv channel, and its about ireland duh) and it was talking about the english thouroughbred or whatever it was coming to ireland for a race and how there was alot of security for it because there was a fear that someone would attack it, so my dad was saying that it seemed a little odd and that he thought it was a dress rehersal for the queen to vist on the 100th aniversary of the last english monachs visit to ireland, which was in 1910 i believe. so in all honesty i usually ignore my dad but it was a long car ride back from jfk airport, where ironically he was picking me up from a trip i took to ireland, and i was bored so i listened and it did seem very plausable that this may be true. now i know some of you are going to ask why im compairing the queen to a horse but thats not the point im trying make, it could be the PM for all i care that they were rehearsing with. and on another note this was around the end of july so i might be a little behind we dont really cover too much news that comes from over there so im not exactly up to date on this. so i just wanted to share this and ask what your opinion was on this.
thanks in advance to any replies.

Eh, without knowing the details, although it's potentially possible, let's face it, when it comes to racing horses those things cost a fuckload
and there's been a bit of trouble lately in terms of attacks, so it may really be just for the horse. But it does depend on the security arrangements, 'cos obviously certain security runthroughs i suppose could then be used for the Queen, but there's a lot of stuff you can't really use a horse to reherse for. ![]() Just had a look on the monarchy website, makes no mention of Ireland, and a quick Google search brings up the problem that Ireland prolly isn't ready to recieve a British monarch yet, although people want it to happen: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle3587149.ece
