Yeah, sorry, I don't know how to quote the text so there's the page. But god, we're getting closer to recreating zero gravity. |

That's so awesome. Maybe they can put those in the same places where they do indoor skydiving some day.

Poor mouse. That's pretty wicked though.Oh, and Jorge, to quote text, just copy the text from the site, paste it onto here, select all the text you want to quote, and go to the quote button in your little quick-reply box. It's the last one on the right. |

..It's like two different mice?
One is black, and the other is white. They don't even look like they are levitating.

Look a little harder at the color of the top mouse and the nature of shadow and light. Also read the caption.

The poor mouse critter must've been terrified
![]() Though I prefer staying on the ground, I must say zero gravity is pretty darn cool.

Why is this news?
The magnetic laboratory at FSU has been levitating frogs for years.

You need an incredibly strong magnetic field in order to do something like this. It takes 16 teslas to levitate a frog. By comparison, MRI machines in hospitals typically reach field strengths of 3 teslas (which can be quite dangerous).

Not to mention that with the amount of metal we tend to put in our bodies, not very many humans will be able to take advantage of this technology. Unless you want a dental filling ripped out at hypersonic speed. I don't.
