I wanna say university level because I found it on highered.mcgrawhill.com and based off the sample chapters it looks like it's a university level.

It's on my uni's 1st year physiology reading list.

I'm surprised that it's a university level book. When I read it, it came off as very simple and incomplete. It's missing a lot of information due to the simplicity of the text.

I had an AP Bio book by Sylvia Mader, so it's technically a college level book.

Could be cegep level because mcgrawhill.com has a lot of books for that level as well. A few of the books I'm reading right now for my classes in cegep came from that site.

It's far from the only book on the list. All 1st year courses at my uni assume zero previous knowledge about the subject. Having never read the book I can't say for certain but it's possible that it's the entry level book that those with some prior understanding of the subject are told not to bother with.

A lot of textbooks are written with the assumption that the professor will be teaching the material very thoroughly. In reality, this rarely occurs anymore. Fortunately, many of the newer textbooks are being written much better and contain a more exhaustive amount of information.

Honestly, there is nothing more sweeter to me in life than a few of my most favorite texts. Books ROCK!
