A walk in the park

Not sure if this is in the right place but here I go

The other day my uncle got a knock on the door, it was the police. They said he was seen sitting and walking in the park which he wasn't allowed to because there are kids in the park and if you are by yourself then you are not allowed to enter the park.

All he was doing was taking a walk because it was a hot sunny day and hed thought hed walk through the park and around the lake and sit by the lake.

My uncle said there was no sign to say that no one can enter the park without having children with them. He just got a warning

I just thought id tell yous what happened with me uncle

That's a stupid policy. But perhaps it's in place to protect the children?

If it's a public park then it's lucky the police didn't charge him, otherwise he could sue. If it's a public park on public ground then they can't make him leave or not go and they can't do anything about it, and if they try to then they're breaking the law they're trying to protect (or make up as they go along, in some cases).

I don't suppose your uncle has had prior convictions involivng being a pedophile? Thats the only reason I can think of not letting someone in a park because there are children there.
