okay, this morning i worked 11-4. and had the pleasure of meeting a pleasant customer
and by that i mean i was ready to kill her violently with an incredibly dirty knife


first, it was 1:15 busy time in drive thru, cars stacked 5 deep when she comes on the intercom with an immediate "hellooooooo" while i'm pouring pepsi with one hand and cashing out a customer's order with the other. i tell her "hi, i'll help you in just a second"

second, i'm handing out food and pepsi 15 seconds later and as i'm out the window i come back in to her, stating her order. i say "i'm sorry, this will be just a second" (i have a system in drive thru that prevents chaos, hand out food, then take money, then take next person's order, then pour drinks and hand out next person's order. clearly this woman had no idea that this was the reason why one person is able to take 50-60 orders 3 hours straight and have the food ready for the customer ready less than a minute upon paying).

third, finaly take her order, she had no idea of the menu but was still eagar to order before anyone else. but people having a basic understanding that kfc serves chicken is all i aim for (people order taco bell, mcdonalds, even pizza at kfc. shit you not). take her order. thought that was it

fourth, was not it. when she arrives she has a pt cruiser (personally, i think ugliest car made) and it was coffee w cream color, in other words everything in a car i don't want, but i don't judge her harshly, she's just a media brain washed idiot. and if kfc turned down service from everyone one of those, we would have no business. and then she hands me the money, a ten. BUT WAIT NO!! 50 cents with the ten, cleverly (or lack there of) folded into the ten. and on the pavement. in the graveyard of change that the obese and stupid spilt change, building up since construction and never picked up (want to make at least 20$? pick up change in drive thrus)

fifth, immediatly she demands i pick it up. stunned i look down about 6 feet to the ground, clearly she must be joking. but alas she isn't. a walk out would cost at least 5 minutes and an impossible weeve through drive thru, which i explain and point to the line of at least 5 cars, 3 of which have yet to order, and no clear shot to the 50¢ around the front that wouldn't include running next to a busy road with cars going 45+ so i offer her an ultimatum. pick up the change or we can take the ten (her meal was 7.68) or she can pick up the change. then she starded swearing like her foot was being cut off. i explain to her that my boss will give me hell if i enter incorrect change and people have been fired when the drawer is short (sanders, apparently hated being jipped out of <1, and has fired multiple people throughout his multi billion dollar empire) she drove off pissed



i fucking hate adult-children.
if your child still throws fits at 50 when they don't get there own way over something small like 50¢, you failed as a parent.


also. i would have been more inclined to pull out ninja moves in retrieving 50¢ for a slightly obese idiot if i got above minium wage for a job i've been doing for 10 months, or if anyone in the history of fast food has ever tipped for good service (and i save the average customer 2-3 dollars, so i am a good server).

Unfortunately that's one of the things you get with the whole fast food business. I hate it when the people giving others what they want are treated like crap to be honest. I personally always try to be courteous to all people, including those working in retail and fast food. You guys are already making little money and dealing with cunts all day, so the least I can do is treat you with respect.

besides, people at low end jobs aren't usually bad people. people with no job and 17 children and a new tv, tend to be bad people. also people with very well paying jobs hold a high concentration of d bags

Happens everywhere. I had one guy on the phone earlier (i work for Mercedes) who was demanding that he get a weeks test drive of the new E-Class.

When i told him that we cannot do this, and because there was such high demand for the vehicle at the moment, he'd probably have to wait until a retailer would be able to offer a days test drive.

He swore at me, loads. He hung up.

Just believe in Karma mate Right now i hope he crashed his current Merc on the way home.

God I hate retail and jobs where I have to deal with people. I work in retail and it fucking sucks. Always have to deal with stupid bitches problems and its always my fault. Fortunately my business is like a we cant do anything or change anything to make you happy. You either want it an pay for it or tough shit and move on haha. We dont care.

God. I can't stand people like that. I try to be nice to people who are in fast-food type jobs - they're getting paid to serve food, not to deal with abuse.

Usually when I worked at Burger King and did drive thru, if people dropped their change I would be nice enough to tell them I'll input the change and get it later, which I did or else I'd be short. But sometimes they were nice enough to open the door, pick it up and I would apologize if it was my fault for dropping the change.

But if a bitch like her came and commanded me to go outside and pick it up, I would have done the same shit. I totally understand your vent. I had bitches [mainly black, sorry if I offend anyone?] try and command me to stir their coffee! I would explain that I wasn't allowed to and they would be like stir it and they still insisted even telling me that McDonalds does it. [and btw that's the main line for every asshole customer]

Just because McD's does whatever it is, doesn't mean we did. -_-
I DID work for McD's before Bk but still

I had people impatiently yell "HELLO?" at the speaker when I told them to wait a few minutes or start to order when I clearly wasn't listening because I told them to wait. I've had people curse me, drive away after ordering the food just to be funny or out of pure impatience, and even worse when I have someone repeat something over again because I didn't hear it. They'd always repeat it back to me as if I was deaf or dumb.

So, I feel your pain.
