Default Alternate weight lifting?

I'm in quite a predicament. I want to start weight lifting, but as far as I know, there are no gyms in my town. I'm not gonna ask for a home gym from my parents, because My brother's 18 and moving out soon, my dad is handicapped, and my mom wouldn't lift weights. So I'm not going to ask for a whole home gym just for me, you know? Is there anything else I can do at home w/o a gym that would have pseudo similar effects?

You don't need an entire home gym to get in a good workout. Essentially all you need is a cheap bench, a barbell, a pair of adjustable dumbbells, and some weight plates. It's not that expensive (much less than a home gym). But if that's still not possible, then you're going to have to give up on weightlifting until you can secure access to some weights. Until then, you can do some body weight exercises, but those don't work very well and you wont be seeing much gains at all.

Free weights are a cheap option that with a bench can get a lot of what you need done, but are you really sure there's no gyms whatsoever in your town? Take a good look/ask around, there might be one or two you didn't realize existed, and that would probably end up being better.
