So all the guys i know are super comfortable about talking about masturbation yet all of the girls ive met completely denie it yet you still have that feeling and hear the tone of their voice that makes you believe theyre lying, ive met only 1 girl who admits it...exept she likes me and i think she was trying to turn me on...i dont like her like that...so why do girls deny it? Statistically speaking, girls are less likely than guys to masturbate, although most ultimately do masturbate at some point. Girls are also less likely to watch porn, though as you say, that doesn't mean no girls watch porn, just that fewer girls than guys watch porn.

I think we do it almost as much as guys, just don't talk about it.
Why?
First of all that's private thing, and I talk about that just with my close friends (and I didn't when I was younger). Or here, where people don't know me. Second, society teach us that girls should be ladys, little princes and don't do such things. Women shouldn't be sexual in way men are - that's what was traditionally believed. Women were here just to satisfy men and bring babies on world, not to enjoy in their bodies and in sex. Those traditional ways of thinking are still alive.

I agree with gucciiva. And more: also after the "sexual revolution", sex is o.k. (also) for women, but not pure and simple pleasure. And masturbation is mere pleasure. For most people, this is not yet permitted to girls.

yes, i masturbate all the time! i'm not embarrassed about it or anything, and I dont really see anything wrong about talking about it. The problem is that at school, if i were to tell a guy something like that, word would get around and be a little embarrassing knowing that everybody knows my masturbation history/techniques/whatever

i know a girl who is very open with her friends (i'm one of them). she has said that even though she's gone out with this guy for 4 years, they havent had sex. believable. she says she has never masturbated and, from she has said, it doesnt sound like she has felt the urge to. possible.
But at the same time she has said 'well its not like me and [her boyfriend's name] have not done anything' and she told me about this dream she had where she got fingered in her dream to what sounded like the point of orgasm.
these 2 things seem to contradict the first 2 statements, dont you think? cos presuming she has never pleasured herself, i doubt she has let her boyfriend finger her So what 'stuff' could they have done which doesnt involve sexual stimulating her? i guess she could have given him a blowjob/handjob but surely she would then want something in return?

It just depends on the person. I'm a guy, I masturbate, but I don't tell anyone about it. It's a personal thing, y'know.
