Jaw hurts like crazy.

I don't know why, its been like this all day.
It hurts really badly, and It hurts when I swallow or talk, or even move my jaw.


I dont want to ask my mom to take me to emerg, but I don't know even know if I should go down there.
Should I go down there?
And what do you think is the cause of the pain, cause Its never hurt before.

Do you have any other symptoms, such as a sore throat, coughing, a cold, a fever, etc? Alone, a painful jaw is significant but probably not a major problem. Coupled with cold or flu-like symptoms, it's a bigger deal, and it warrants a trip to the doctor. It's probably not necessary to go to the ER, but you should call the doctor and go in the same day (if you have cold or flu symptoms, too), unless your doctor says otherwise.

Its actually my tonsils.
My friend and my mom felt my throat and my tonsils are really swollen, and my mom is calling my doctor.
Oh, and I have a cold, I can't cough because of my tonsils so.

If it's your tonsils, then your doctor can probably give you an antibiotic to help (if it's a bacterial infection there, anyways). If tonsils are a routine problem for you, then you can explore having a tonsilectomy--a surgery once performed routinely as a preventative measure but still done today for people who have frequent infections around the tonsils.
