I really hate how society these days makes you think that if you're sad or suicidal, then there must be something wrong with you. Or if someone is horribly depressed and wants to commit suicide, then everyone assumes they must have a broken brain and need a bottle of pills to fix them.
Ever think that maybe there really isn't anything wrong with them, and that they might actually have a good reason for wanting to die?
I dunno, maybe the reason your sad isn't because you've got a broken brain. Sure, that's a possibility, but ever think that it might have something to do with your unhappy marriage, or someone in your life abusing you, or your crappy job, or that the bank has taken your house away and you're now homeless, or that you failed at raising your kids, or that you suffer from chronic and severe physical pain, or that your heart has recently been shattered?
Maybe the reason you're depressed/suicidal is because your life really does suck.
No, I'm not trying to say that in a lot of cases depression and thoughts of suicide aren't triggered by mental illness and chemical imbalances in your brain, because is not true. I'm just saying, before you decide that there's something wrong with you and you need a bottle of happy pills, maybe you should take a look at your life right now and see if there's a good reason why you feel so awful about yourself.
