    Default Acne treatment?

So yeah, acne is a very unattractive thing lots of teens go through, and acne treatment can be just as dreadful with redness and dryness, I've heard. Is it worth it? Will the acne clear up on its own as I get older as long as I regularly clean my face and don't pick at it? Thanks.

I would say that acne treatment is worth it if it works. Generally, acne will clear up on its own, but it may be several years before that happens. There's no actual harm from keeping the acne during that time, but using an acne treatment--either over the counter or prescription--shouldn't cause problems, either.

I found most "acne" products to only worsen the problem, as they have the tendency of dehydrating the skin. Remembering homeostasis... the skin WILL NOT stay dry.. instead it will compensate for lost oils by over producing them, thus leading to more clogged pores, and more acne.

Give this a try before anything else: buy yourself a glycolic cleanser, and follow up with an oil-free moisturizer. My preferred brands are Proactive (which is a tad too strong sometimes), Anthony's, and Cetophil (manufactured by Galderma).
"En Unión y Libertad".... lo estoy buscando... un día, me encontrará.

    High Fructose Corn Syrup
You know what they say about it?
That it's made from corn, chemically altered, directly linked to hypertension, CVD and liver damage; and effectively causes type II diabetes and obesity?

Get the facts - from a medical professional - not the Corn Refiners' Association.
