Thoughts on 2012

I think it's bullshit, but not entirely. I have reason to believe humanity will destroy itself, not based on the last number in the Mayan calendar and super computer predictions. The computer theory convinced me, however. It predicted the tsunami and other tragedies. But it doesn't make sense to me how people are claiming the world will end every 6 years.

If you think about it:

2000 - World will supposedly end

2006 - World will... supposedly end.

2012 - World will supposedly end

But if the world did end, I think it'd be kickass to go down with a fight, against a zombie apocalypse or something. But not going into a mall, that shit's just stupid.

Well, that's my rant.

Or perhaps the end of the universe is independent of whatever calendar system we dream up. Anyway, there have been a number of threads on this already.
