    Default shaving/cutting facial hair

    im 17 and iv never cut or shaved my mustache. i really want to shave it cas its really noticable now and im just curious on doing it. i just dont want to cas i dont want it to grow thicker and faster. can someone tell me of their first time shaving and what was it like? when did u first shave? did grow bak thicker and faster?

    i first shaved when i was about 13 (early bloomer). and it does not grow back thicker. it just looks like that. and it was now big deal. and it doesn't grow back faster, it just grows back at it's regular speed.

    I'll usually get lazy and let it go a few days. After that, my face will look like a mess.

    That whole growing in thicker and faster isn't true. It is logically true but based upon the scale of the human hair, it's not going to be so much thicker that you will be able to notice a difference. You can shave it without having to worry about it.

    It won't grow back thicker or faster, that is just a myth. After you shave it will continue to grow at the rate it's growing now and at the same thickness.

    It will feel a little weird for a few hours after you shave for your first time but it goes away fairly quickly

    Like they are saying it doesn't make it longer, it just feels coarse making you THINK it's growing faster. My brother first showed me how to shave about a year ago, and now I do when I get a tiny bit of hair. It's really simple with a razor, just light straight cuts. Just don't press down to hard or you might cut yourself.

    so wen u 1st shaved ur mustache, did grow back soft still???

    are ur facial hairs still peach fuzz or is it adult coarse hair already??? if it is adult coarse hair already, how old were u wen it became like that???

    The growing back faster thing is just a myth. Apparently it's based on the fact that people would first start shaving near the start of puberty (when you get the little, black peach fuzzy mustache). As someone matures, their facial hair grows faster and is thicker. For some reason, the "grows back thicker" thing was attributed to shaving, and not puberty.
