I have a step-grandmother who did some pretty terrible things too. We ended up kicking her out of the family in the end.

Being forced to see any relative you can't stand is bad enough. But he's not your real grandfather so you shouldn't have to. In saying that, I have a really great relationship with my stepgrandfather even though my mum and stepdad aren't together anymore.
