But this time in a way that I appreciate. Originally we didn't have school on Thursday and Friday, but now it has been extended to Monday and Tuesday as well; possibly longer.

Ha - I'm jealous, though I don't think they can close down an entire University. I just get to deal with being around a bunch of sick people...and a bunch of them look like crap, which is a compliment for sure.

Sure they can, They feared that Unis would have to be closed here because of freshers flu being combined with swine flu and causing havoc. Freshers flu causes havoc as it is, enough the almost close every uni.

Swine flu has spread around Northeastern, but not as much as I thought it might. I wonder how long until it really spreads, and I wonder what they'll do if it happens around exams. Can you say free 100%s for us all?

Won't work, the chinese won't miss a lecture unless they are dead, as soon as one of them get it the whole course will have it

I don't think they close down schools here for much. They closed a building because a student shot himself last week, but other than that...I don't think I've seen any part of the school shut down.

I'm pretty sure my university has only said something like..."make sure you get vaccinated, but we have no vaccinations. "

I hope that the schools are closed for 2 weeks. The ministry of health and education have stated they wont do that, but they also never planned to extend our vacation. Perhaps they will realize that us kids need to be left alone with our Counter Strike Source and will shut schools down. And oh, Vojvodina isn't getting the extended vacation.

Our college has seen a fair few cases of Swine Flu but has refused to close, instead urging the students to take up to 2 weeks off to make sure that all symptoms are gone and they are no longer able to pass the virus on.
