I doubt it will hurt your chances of enlisting because the army needs people, but I can't say anything for sure. As for colleges, it will hurt your chances if I understand the system.

You're certainly not getting into a top college with that kind of record even if your grades are sufficient, that's for sure.

If you plan on going to college after the armed services, the institutions reserve the right to pull up your school records. Many veterans decide to go to college after the service partially because it doesn't cost them much if anything. As for the service, I am not sure. I imagine they do look at your record to see what kind of a person you are.

It would most definitely affect getting into a college.

Actually, Jared is Canadian, and in the Canadian system it might not significantly effect getting into a university, since many schools do not require the kind of lengthy additional personal information US schools do. With good grades, it could be less of a problem than it would be anywhere in America.

The best idea, Jared, is to check with a guidance counselor.

I think that when it comes to records, the US and Canada have similar practices.

If you also have a record of problems like this it can have an impact on whether or not the armed forces will accept you. Not as much as a university, but it can still be there.

Could potentially hurt my chances of getting into the army, or getting a job, or getting in to college in the future, or anything like that?
I think you set a suspension record. Well j/k. But anyways, those suspensions aren't going to look good for colleges at all. You should go to the principle of your school and see if he/she is willing to remove some of those suspensions from your record.
