Why I HATE (some) European Tourists

For some damn reason, Boca Raton seems to be the hot-spot for European tourists... why? I don't fucking understand. But we get shit loads, like 1/4 of our clientele in the mall.

For the most part, the Brits are great, and Germans as well.... but the French and Italian tourists annoy the fucking hell out of me.

They come into my kiosk, order a drink incorrectly, either due to their lack of English fluency, or confusion with their Starbucks variants back in their home countries, and get mad at me..... like I'm the ass that fucked up the order you placed. First it was one woman who wanted an "American". Well Starbucks has a drink called an Americano (espresso and hot water)... an "American" is not "American coffee" in this country THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "AMERICAN COFFEE"... we have coffee of various roasts and espresso, what the fuck do you want?

If I go to France, ignorant of the culture, I am labeled as a "stupid American"... well you know what, European tourists, you're all fucking stupid, ignorant, and arrogant to top it off.


OH YEAH... and LA SERVICE N'EST PAS COMPRIS.... cheap bastards.

Mais moi, je l'aime et j'aime son attitude. Les Français peuvent être hypocrites de temps en temps et la plupart ne comprennent pas la culture américaine (et la plupart des Américains ne comprennent pas la culture européenne, c'est mutuel).

Except, that it's expected that we'd understand their culture, and that theirs should deserve a level of respect that it should be taken into consideration over our own when their in our territory. I'm sorry, I'm an incredibly tolerant person.... but that's just ignorant. That, is what pisses me royally.

It's the Italians too... and on the rare occasion, a smart ass Brit.

Germans tend to be polite but quiet from what I've seen. Not much for conversation. Meanwhile, you get a Brit and they're more than happy to tell you they're on holiday, and have a full discussion out of it.... definitely my favorite to serve, because they're the most conversational.
