The Sound of Music Remake!

I recently heard a rumor that they are planning to remake this movie.
If you Google it, there are links to prove it!
I think it will be cool if they make it, but nowhere near as good as the original.

What do you guys think about this?


On a hilarious side note, they were actually gonna have Cameron Diaz play the main character that Julie Andrews was! Not anymore of course, but still... xD

Why don't writer just come up with something new?
Remakes are rarely as good as the first. I don't see how they can top the original.
