would a good first job be like working at like cvs or walgreens or something?
I have no job experience whatsoever.

it's very hard to get a job at places like CVS and Walgreens becuase they're big chains and may not hire 16 year olds (happy birthday by the way). Your best bet is to look for small 'mom and pop' places. What I mean by that are stores or places rooted in your community that aren't chains. They generally are more willing to hire local kids than big companies like Walgreens and CVS.
Another option is to sign up for life guarding classes. It runs between $150-$250, but you will be able to get a job over the summer definately, and maybe at a local pool. Life Guards are always in demand, no matter the location or economy.

Just about anything would be a good first job so you can get experience.

It depends on the qualifications of the position. If you need documented experience doing certain tasks, then you aren't going to have much of a chance getting the job without it. My first jobs were at a summer camp and at a grocery store, both extremely easy places to get hired with little or no work experience. I would actually disagree with trying to get a job at small local places within your community. You could try, definitely, but they wouldn't typically have as much money as bigger chains and do not hire very often.

Who in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most, our one fellow and brother who most needed a friend yet had not a single one, the one sinner among us all who had the highest and clearest right to every Christian's daily and nightly prayers, for the plain and unassailable reason that his was the first and greatest need, he being among sinners the supremest?"

Depending on the restaurant it can be a very fun job. You can't serve alcohol yet so I wouldn't shoot for a waiting position. But you could be a bus boy, host, or something else. If they offer a job take it because then you start building up experience.

Pharmacy technician. I make $8.50 an hour, it's stressful and annoying. If you have to work at a place like CVS, don't work for more than a year there.
my new job is a $14/hr and 1/10th the stress and my boss is super chill.
If it's just a cashier job then it's fine. Granted you will deal with retarded ass customers, but it's pretty much a no brainer job. Lots of high school kids do cashier work, so you'll fit right in. Pretty attractive girls too.
