Seriously confused

So I asked out this guy a few days ago and even though he turned me down he doesn't seem to remember he doesn't have the same feelings for me that I do for him. today on a school field trip we we're divided into car groups and of course he was in mine. well throughout this entire filed trip he clung to me a lot and when i say clung i mean he really clung. he was grabbing my arm constantly trying to hold my hand hugging me a lot. sometimes he would pull me in really close put his hand on my waist and the other on my shoulder and just stare into my eyes. well I know I shouldn't have let him but i did and now im completely confused. should i bring up the fact that he said he just wants to be friends but is acting like we're going out? i mean when i asked him out he was pretty clear about not liking me. help please. thanks

maybe he wasn't sure how he felt about you the first time you asked him and hes dropping hints that he does like.

he probably changed his mind. Maybe he realized that he really did like you. Sometimes crushes and/or love come in an unexpected rush without any explanation
