5 years at this age is quite a big difference, yes. However, it significantly depends - some 16 year olds I've met are more mature than many of my 21 year old friends. So... it really depends on you and the guy. I'm not sure I'd recommend it - especially as it might be illegal where you are - but this particular decision is very gray area imo, and so it comes down to what you think. Sounds like you had some trepidation though, so I'd sleep off the booze and think about it a little bit more clearheaded tomorrow.
