So, I've been told/asked some very terrible things in my life. I mean, who hasn't? But today takes the cake.
During classes today, we were discussing the Kanye West VMA's incident. I stated that I found Kayne's actions to be pretty funny in the situation, and that I really didn't find the whole thing that big of a deal. Just my opinion. That's it. Then, a lovely girl in my class looks at me and says, "Do you have a heart? What's wrong with you?"
Excuse me? So just because I don't feel very sympatheic for a celebrity being embarrased by another celebrity, I don't have a heart? I don't even understand how that situation could make you ask something like that. I mean, really. So, I tell her something similar to what I just wrote, and she replies, "what could make you so mean?" What? How does that make me mean? How does my not caring about a celebrity losing her, "moment" make me a mean, heartless person? Would you like me to explain to you the plethora of things I've gone through that cause me to care less about stupid things like this? Would you like me to go into detail about all of my problems and explain to you why I am not the happiest of people? Simply stunning.

Well, there's nothing wrong with what you said. But you shouldn't have said it. When thing like that happens people WOULD make a big deal out of it, especially when a pretty, young, teenage country music star got owned by a douchebag. So it's basically you going against the 'hot topic'. And whether they see it this way or not, people would just think that 'you are trying to make yourself look different from everybody' by being "I don't really care, they're celebreties.". So the thing here is, just don't make such statements if YOU DON'T want to hear such comments from them. That's just how society works, being against what everybody is talking about makes you a 'bad person' even though you're statements are genuine.

I sort of understand where you are coming from Dylan and I know they are just celebrities but they are human beings. I mean not to mention that Taylor Swift is still a teenager. She isnt used to this type of fame and spotlight and she was enjoying her moment. I wouldn't want it taken away and humiliatied like that either. Sure, it's ok to think she didnt deserve it, but you admit that she won fair and square and let her have her time to be joyful about it.
