Well Metallica were around in 84 (i think that was when they started) so i'm super surprised they're not up there, but from the above list it would have to be between Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden but im going for 'Other' cause its Metallica

Judas Priest and Black Sabbath are two different eras. So I choose Black Sabbath and Judas Priest, but I chose Judas Priest since it is the one I look over the two. Though if I were to have picked other, my choice would have been Mercyful Fate.
You consider Led Zeppelin heavy metal? I consider them hard rock, they don't solo enough to be heavy metal.
Led Zeppelin made far more sales than Metallica, believe me.

Umm after this last Death Magnetic album I don't think so. Metallica has sold over 100 million albums.
But I really like led zepplin too though

Out of the options you listed, Iron Maiden are my definite favourite, so I picked them, but they're at least a whole generation later than bands like Black Sabbath - even Judas Priest have about 10 years of history before Iron Maiden came about.

Correct. Well, correct if you exclude Queen, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, the Stones, Aerosmith, Springsteen, Genesis and U2.
I reckon they solo plenty. There's one in just about every song and Page and Bonham were famous for their legandary extended live solos.
