Default Very stuck on what to do for uni

For my highers (this is the final section in school, determining what you do after school basically) I chose English, maths, geography, biology and chemistry. I really enjoy english and geography - the rest not as much. Is there any way I can do a course involving both, or do 2 different courses?

I am only 15 at the moment (just about 16) but I have one year left (2 if I want to stay on to do advanced highers) and I'm pretty clueless.

Any advice as well - and also do you think I should take a gap year off before uni for a bit of experience?

I really am not in a good position to point you in any specific career field. However, you should know that many university freshmen do not even have a clear idea of what they want to go into. I did not find my passion for chemistry until my second year...

However, I should very strongly caution you in taking ANY time off betwixt your Senior year in highschool and your freshmen year at the university. As soon as you leave highschool, your mind very, very quickly begins to forget everything you learned. Also, it is very likely that unforeseen circumstances will arise in your "time off" that could very easily keep you from ever returning to going onto higher education. It happens ALL the time.. Resist that urge to take time off, and you will probably be better off. Best of luck to you, and always work hard.

    What country are you from?
In Australia and some other countries you can do something call a double degree, though there may be limited combinations in what you could do. For geography and english, you may choose an art/science degree.

There are pros and cons in taking a gap year, in aus for example if you take gap yrs it may allow you to apply for uni as a mature age student, which boost your chances of getting into uni since they would look at your work experience as well, so if you didn't do too well in your high school then a gap yr maybe a good idea.
I personally wouldn't do it because it may distort your directions, once you throw yourself into the workforce it may be hard getting back out, and the transition into uni could be more difficult.

    Im assuming hes Scottish.

Look on UCAS for joint honours, TBH I doubt there will be alot of choice if any for those two degrees together but you never know.

Gap year is up to you, some people do well take a gap year and do travelling etc, and others like myself would probably most likely get out of the loop and get stuck in work.

What i will say is dont go to university till you are 18, not being able to drink even at the SU bar will be a real hinderance.

Yeah, I'll second the "stay on at school and do your advanced highers." It's better all-around, really.
