For the first time in about 2 weeks, I actually hung out with one of my friends. We were in my car and talking about her ex-boyfriend. She says that she hopes that she hopes he rots in hell, to which I made the obvious 'your mom' joke.

"Your mom is rotting in hell."

Complete silence. It took me a full 30 seconds to remember that her alcoholic mother had killed herself 6 years ago.
