And the Discovery



They are all minor asthetical facelifts, but there is changes under the hood, with more power through greener engines. Your thoughts?

To be honest though i'm not keen on any of them, they seem to be taking a slightly American "let's stick a big boxy macho shiny front grill on it to increase our penis length" route with them.

The front of the Discovery especially reminds me of one of those American pick-up trucks.

The Sport just looks like some "gansta" prat has added on a really lame body kit which doesn't quite match the car.

Discovery is a good vehicle, but i dont own a farm, neither do i need to take 6 others up a mountain.

So i'll stick to the Range Rover.

I kind think they fucked up the Discovery there. It now looks like an inbred child between the old Discovery and the LR3.

The Sport has never appealed to me.

Well, I love all 3, but I am the sole person who voted for the Range Rover Sport so far. Now I know its image has been tarnished somewhat by some of its clientelle, but if trimmed and specced correctly it can be a tasteful machine. The other reason I picked the Sport, is that I find the normal Range Rover a bit big. And the Discovery is really just a box on wheels design-wise

I think the LR4 is most improved, but I'd still rather have the Range Rover. It seems like they hardly did anything to make the RR sport look any better... just slightly steeper sloping tail lights, slightly different headlights, and a fatter lip. I've never been able to really like that car (my mom had one), to me it just seems like the smaller, not-as-good version of the good ol' Range Rover. It was too small to be extremely useful for our family, which is kind of awkward considering the fact that the LR4/3 is bigger and cheaper. The 510 hp engine, however, does tempt me

I like the LR4's new face quite a bit more than the old one, and that it no longer has all that black plastic on the exterior. I also hated the tail-lights, so I'm glad they've been updated.

I think the updates to the Range Rover are all tasteful, though I maybe wish they had done a bit more to the interior.

I'll agree with you there 100%. They are some of the best interiors I have seen in any car.

I found the old Land Rover Interiors too plasticy. This is a massive improvement all round.

You did not just say that. The 3 machines we are talking a bout here are some of the best off roaders money can buy, even though, with the exception of the Discovery, you rarely see them in the muck.

This is why I don't like Range Rover... around here, you just see a bunch of rich girls/house wives driving them around with their Louis Vuitton hand bags, Prada sunglasses, piano black interior, and high class bitch attitude.

I don't know anyone that actually uses them for off road anymore...
