I know a few people from here from Oz that are cut, me included.

Here are some links for you
    http://www.circumstitions.com/Australia.html
    http://www.birth.com.au/Circumcision...n-in-Australia

A telephone survey in 2001-02 of 10,173 men aged 16-59 found 59% were circumcised. The rate was 69% for those who were born in Australia [Richters et al., 2006]. However, the rate in those aged 16-20 years was only 32%, leading to public health concerns and a call to increase circumcision [Morris, 2007b]. Most of the men in this survey had been circumcised in infancy. A similar rate of 66% was found amongst 1,427 homosexual men in Sydney in whom circumcision status was confirmed by clinical examination [Templeton et al., 2007].
An earlier report in 1994 found that in adult males in Sydney rate was 62% [Donovan et al., 1994]. And, in a 1995 report, the same group found a 65% circumcision rate [Richters et al., 1995]. In Adelaide rate was 55% [Hart, 1992]. In 2006 there were 1965 claims for circumcision of males aged over 10 by a specialist and 731 by a general practitioner [Medicare, 2007a]. Claims rose 5.4% over the 5 years to 2006. These figures are best for monitoring trends. The actual numbers would have been higher than these, probably very much higher.
I am sure more members can post other links to what I have.

It's low, especially among those born in the past 20-30 years. As I understand, hospitals don't cover them unless for a medical reason, which is the way it should be.

I was looking at a survey a couple of months ago, seeing that the trend is increasing again.

These are most likely statistical variations that are common with trends like these. Basically, these things go slightly up and down but the general trend in the case of circumcision, whether that U.S., Canada, or Australia, is for the rates to go down. Given that in Australia most hospitals don't cover circumcision, it's unlikely for the trend to shift significantly.

Personally I think - and I don't know why I think this - that circumcision rates are going to drop no matter where you are in the world, especially places like the United States. I do understand that places like Europe and Australia, where it is quite uncommon for guys to be circumcised, the statistics will eventually plateau and level off, but more and more Americans are learning that there is nothing medically beneficial in having their newborn boys circumcised. Also, boys in the US were circumcised simply because they wanted their children to look like their father. My mother recently mentioned that is the reason why I was circumcised. But recently Americans are adopting a healthier and more-natural-based lifestyle than the had been before. More than ever, everything seems to be organic or 100% natural. And I think that this new lifestyle that is becoming more and more popular will start to show that we now consider circumcision to be unnatural again - as it should be - and that the American statistic will drop.

Amen to that, lol. The U.S. in general needs to adopt a healthier style of living. Maybe, our obesity rate will finally drop then. Ok, that's off topic, haha.
