well i was asking if my arm span would be a good indicator of how much more i have to grow?
right now i'm 15.5 years old and i'm 6'6'' and my arm span is 6'10'' so i was asking if i'm going to grow into that :-p that'd be a very interesting thing to know, i hear most people do grow into it but some can just have long arms, i measured my dad's, who's like a half inch taller than me, and his was 6'8''
am i going to be 6'10'' (or close) then?

Arm span is usually an inch or two greater than height...it's otherwise an OK predictor. Here is a study on the subject.

erm no see although they grow at different rates arm span and hiegh arm normally the same. Therefore arm span is normally an indicator of the height u are now. Althoough a growth spurt can cause u arms to be longer than the rest of you.

Judgin by ur arms at the moment i say ur about to have a growth sput of probably 2 inches

i wouldnt call that a great predicotr...but hey ur a mod right?
anyways what if the person has only 1 arm? or no arms at all? well, since ur arm lenght is supppose to be your height like that divinci hocus focus stuff drawing of a man in a circle. well maybe sure.

It's not a great predictor...I just called it an OK predictor. It's accurate within a few inches, from what I know, but in this case, it's the few inches that matter.

(And, of course, we mods can be wrong too!)

Usually arm span is a pretty good indicator of height.

Hence Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man:

However depending on when you measure your height, if it's in the morning or night, can result in a shorter or taller measurement. As for the 4 inches you specified, i'm not sure.

But there you go. As for me i'll believe Leonardo Da Vinci.

Well, give or take a couple inches, you can kind of estimate how tall you will be. But 6'6" at 15?! Wow...you are a freakin' giant!

My arm span is 6'1" and I am 5'11".

It's one of those ballpark figures. If your armspan is 54 inches, odds are you won't be 6'2". But you might be 5'4" or 5'6". I agree with Dolphus--it's an okay predictor, and it can give an idea of what height is. But it won't tell you how much more you have to grow. Armspan grows, too, so you may not have your full armspan right now.
