( I am not proud of it and now I will NEVER look at it again) Well you know the drop down list with kazaa when you see all the things you have seen? Well all my porn stuff I have seen is there and I need to get rid of it!!! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!! FYI, in the future bring issues like this to the tech forum. I have yet to see answers to questions like this go for more than 2-3 hours without at least one legit answer.

Is this Kazaa or Kazaa lite? I'm assuming it's the full version (bad mojo - but we'll avoid that convo for now). The normal Kazaa version should have a function under the options menu somewhere.

For Example, the major menu functions for Kazaa Lite (again, I don't use the full version of Kazaa) is under Tools -> Options. If you go through the tabs there, there should be some way to clear the history.


FYI - one of the advantages to Kazaa Lite is that it doesn't retain a history of what you've seen. You just have to be sure items on the Traffic screen are gone (right click, choose "Clear all") and you're done with it.

Ok, I will do that from now on. I am pretty ure it's the full version because I didn't see a way to clear anything in the options. There were all those pages like " My Kazaa, traffic, advanced, filter" ect.

FYI to anyone who's reading this that doesn't know - the full version of Kazaa and other P2P software programs contain spyware - that in and of itself should say a lot. Kazaalite (www.kazaalite.com) is basically a stripped down version of Kazaa and doesn't have any of the spyware/adware that the full version does. Much better.


Also please remember that the discussion of warez / leaked software / ripped music is illegal and the discussion of it on govteen is forbidden. this applies to all forums, not just the tech forums. Discussion of the software itself (i.e. Kazaa lite) is permitted however

Actually it wasn't just ONE thing...

Well even though I have figured out the problem, I seem to have created a interesting topic. I hope it will help people who have my porblem, or should I say had my problem in the future. Well it was really funny that right when I figured out how to get rid of it, and when I actually did my bro walked in just then. I had cleared it all away and he walked in. Lol, it was so funny. What I did is on the drop down list I finally found " Perge Searches " It is a real life saver!

I've downloaded SO MANY videos and stuff that claim to be ythings like music videos and that, and actually turned out to be porn.. It's a very common occurence on kazaa, coz so many people have so much stuff. Glad it worked out for you, though :-) Just be more careful...

It's good, really, Chevyguy, that you've had such a shock. Your mind will hopefully associate porn with that memory now, and stop you looking at it. I'll give you an example to prove this sometimes is how it works. About 3 or 4 years ago, I was caught shoplifting. I kicked the habit immediately through shock. I didn't want that feeling of standing there and having someone asked "What's inthe bag?" ever again in my life... it was the first time I had been caught, so I was left with a warning, but that warning's stuck with me, and the memory even more so. There were a lot of people outside the shop, too, and good God! the questions and laughing when I got out of there... doesn't help at all.

Hopefully you got enough of a shock to stop you. If your brother had caught you, it may have been too big of a shock, and traumatised you. Not sure. But I am glad things happened the way they did, and that you've learned your lesson. :-)

kazaa is full of spyware/ads, i suggest you uninstall it, get rid of the spyware and go get kazaa lite.

And as for your problem, you should have had a look through kazaa and experimented with it, as it's dead simple to use.

It's normal for almost each and every guy to look at porn. If you have a problem with it, you should talk to your brother about it, because it's more than likely that he uses kazaa to look at it.

Maybe your the type that gets offended easy, and shouldn't really be looking at porn if you think it's immoral or wrong.

ok..if u really wanna get rid of it..do wut my brother did..may take a while but it'll deff. work..ok write down everything that was downloaded (not the porn the music or w.e is on there) delete kazaa altogether then d/l it again and re-d/l everything that you wrote down..and your lil drop down thingy will b porn free. If ur gonna do this..i suggest itz a day no one will b home for a few hours..jus tryna help.good luck ;)

Could you erase the cookie its extreme but you wont get caught if your own computer cant remember it.Otherwise Kazaa might get accidently uninstalled from your computer**wink,wink**

You see I was looking at the drop down list and I finally found purge searches, it's the first thing in the list! I hope this stays around so it can help others.....
