I am close enough, one state above so I think I can comment since my grandmother lives there.....

Its an okay state. The schools are kinda poor but everything still runs......its okay I would say...no better than WA

It seems ok to live. You can probably get a bigger house for less than in other states such as New York or Cali. Most likely the taxes are cheaper too. I also liked the game oregon trail....lol

I'm in Camas, WA, a suburb of Portland, We have great schools, top 3% in the nation, Only 20,000 people, 2 fire and medic stations, a police station, And very convienent to get to Portland and Vancouver WA.

I actaull like Oregon a lot. Lots of my friends say the can't wait to leave, but I'd be just fine with living here the rest of m life (Portland area that is, I wouldnt really want to live in another part, except maybe Bend). There's everything you could want to do nature-wise. Mt Hood and the coast are both an hour and a half from Portland. Then if you wanna go to the desert or somethin, ou just gotta go east a bit. Ah I love Oregon. haha. Plus, it's really laid back...

exactly its awsome the schools r kinda pooor but its great i like this state cuz few earthquakes,no tornados or hurricanes(yet) the worst thing thats happens here every year is the wild fires pm me if ur from oregon(live there)

It's a great place to live. I live in Washington, but in a town right on the border of OR and WA, on the Columbia River. The Gorge area is really beautiful. Both states are really quite nice, but Oregon's taxes are better and Washington's schools are better.

The Albany,salem and corvallis schools are actually really good I dont know about the other ones but yeah they all have really great sports programs and academic levels.
