AVP (Alien vs. Predator)

Just seen AVP, would have to say it was an ok movie. Some critics have given it a scathing review, but I disagree. It's a bit slow to start, but it builds up to some good action. The gore factor, on a scale of 1-10, was maybe a 3, it was a more of a "make you crap your pants" moments type of movie.

All in all, on a scale of 1-5, I'd give it a 3. Right in the middle. Average.

Because it's a completely banal technique designed to produce a financially lucrative movie.

And you just *know* Hollywood will produce another 20 of these if they prove successful.

Good entertainment: perhaps; good film: highly unlikely.

I hope it isn't as pathetic as Freddy vs. Jason, and they REALLY should have made it R!!!! I just don't get it: they edit out like a sound effect and make it PG-13! Alien and Predator-both R, and I just don't see how that translates to a PG personally, but whatever. Who knows! Maybe it's great.

-good looking chars
-lack of freddy
