Well somehow, I seem to have gained 2 new toolbars in IE, and no matter how many times I go into View--->Toolbars and then uncheck them, they just comeback. Is there any way I can get rid of them from IE altogether. I've searched my Computer for files of the same name, but I can't find anything. Any Ideas?

EDIT: The names of the toollbars in the menu are SearchBar and emooooyeasl

Go to control panel, then Add or Remove Programs. Look for any programs which were not installed by you. Chances are, they are download ads which installed on your computer. Uninstall them, tehn bump up your security setting in IE to medium-high.

they're probably from some form of spyware...so i suggest you download ad-aware, which is a program that removes any spyware on your pc

I had one before... Even Ad-Aware didn't get rid of it. D/l it anyway though. I could not get rid of it so I did a system restore. That's your best bet.

If Adaware didn't get rid of it, you might need to do some registry editting, I'm not very familiar with it though.

i find it best to use both spybot and ad-aware....they both work well together seen as often spybot picks up things that ad-aware doesn't, and vice versa

thanks for the help guys. I managed to get rid of the Search Bar one quite easily, but the other one needed me to look through the registry like Joseph88 said. I just deleted the IE toolbar folder and it got rid of it.

eh i was pretty sure the IE toolbar "folder" is a default part of the registry....(as in its meant to be there but its possible things inside of it aren't meant to be there) but eh aslong as its working ok
