math is so much fun! and summer reading is quite grand, too. i always look forward to getting summer reading lists. although, i don't look forward to the projects i must prepare when i'm done reading.

Yick I hate math. During the summer, my mom wants me to read, do math, do flute and piccolo. So don't feel too bad.

why bother having a vacation if we have to do work? i know i'm taking lots of things for granted, but why don't we just do the work in school. i will not let them change it to year round school.

if you start thinking of "math" and "reading" as fun...then it won't be so bad. they're not that bad anyway.

Year-round schooling would probably be better for all of us, as we'd retain more of what we learned and do better overall. We'd just get a shorter summer break, but more time at Christmas, in the spring, and probably even in the fall. I don't even have a big problem with that.
None the less, the summer work you speak of almost pales to the year I had to read well over five hundred pages and write a THIRTY PAGE TYPED paper. I did, however, reap the rewards for busting my ass with a very high A.

having a.d.d. is NOT an excuse. i have it as well, and i've taken medication for it since i was little... you can't try and say that math and reading are super bad, you'll have the same attention span in just about every class. unless, you're one of those kids who plays it off like they never knows what's going on. hmm. shady.

Logic dictates you wont have the same teacher for math as you did last year next year unless your at a small scholl. So why bother doing it at all?
